OWU Welcomes Newest Economics Management Fellows

Ohio Wesleyan’s newest class of Economics Management Fellows (EMF) were welcomed to campus at a luncheon on Friday of Orientation Week. The gathering provided the 13 students who make up this year’s class with an opportunity to meet the faculty and staff who will guide their EMF experiences in the year ahead.

Ohio Wesleyan Captures CASE Awards

Ohio Wesleyan University won two CASE Circle of Excellence Gold Awards, capturing the Overall Category Grand Gold Award in the area of “Fundraising Programs” for Rock’s Amazing Race, a video and social media campaign from 2011 that helped drive end-of-year giving to the Ohio Wesleyan Fund.

A ‘Gold’ Star

“Rock’s Amazing Race,” a collaborative fund-raising campaign and video production created by the Marketing and Communication Office and the Ohio Wesleyan Fund staff, received a Pride of CASE V Gold Award in the category of “Best Program in Engaging an Institution’s CEO in Fundraising.”

Economists Forecast Slow Growth for 2012

Central Ohio is faring better than many parts of the United States since the height of the recession, but the overall picture for the national and global economies is uncertain at best. Such was the assessment of the panel of economists at Ohio Wesleyan University’s annual Economic Outlook Conference on November 7.
