DELAWARE, Ohio – Ohio Wesleyan University is ranked No. 2 in the state among public and private colleges for providing graduates the highest lifetime financial returns on their academic investments, according to information released today by Affordable Colleges Online (ACO).
For its study, “Colleges in Ohio with High ROI,” the San Francisco, Calif.-based organization analyzed data from 389 Ohio four-year schools and subsequently ranked 44 as being most successful at providing their graduates with “the highest lifetime earnings when compared to non-degree holders.”
“These are important lists for prospective students to consider,” ACO founder Dan Schuessler said in announcing the ROI report. “We’ve sifted through comprehensive data sources to find colleges and universities in Ohio that offer a high-quality education with consistent, long-term payoffs in the workplace.”
The ACO rankings are based on several criteria including:
- Net tuition prices (provided by the Integrated Post-Secondary Education Data System/National Center for Education Statistics.)
- Graduate average starting salaries and ROI calculation (provided by PayScale Inc.)
- Status as a fully accredited, four-year, not-for-profit public or private institution (provided by the Carnegie Foundation.)
Ohio Wesleyan ranked No. 2 in the state, with Cleveland’s Case Western Reserve University ranking No. 1. See the complete ACO study at www.affordablecollegesonline.org/online-colleges/ohio.
