DELAWARE, OHIO – Want to get a little more friendly with social media? Amy Marshall of Fathom Columbus will share marketing insights in a free presentation at 4 p.m. April 5 at Ohio Wesleyan University.
Marshall, partner and chief strategy officer for Fathom, will speak in the Bayley Room on the second floor of Ohio Wesleyan’s Beeghly Library, 43 Rowland Ave. The event is sponsored by the university’s Woltemade Center for Economics, Business and Entrepreneurship.
During her presentation, Marshall will discuss integrating social media with search-engine optimization, providing specific examples of tactics useful to business of all sizes.
Those attending will learn:
- How to achieve better and more relevant rankings and drive more traffic to your website.
- How to make your audience “like” your brand and send signals to Google that they like your brand.
- The basics of search-engine optimization, including backlinks, page rank and Google’s algorithm.
- Why social media is the search engine of the future.
- Useful tools to measure results.
In addition to serving as an expert in online marketing, social media marketing, and search-engine optimization for Fathom, Marshall runs the online research group that analyzes social media data to help businesses make informed market and communication decisions. One of her strengths is researching, analyzing, and planning a client’s online marketing strategy and, from that, providing a comprehensive plan of action for real results.
