How: Following church services on May 19, congregations and community members are encouraged to walk to Ross Street Community Park (if possible). Food and drinks will be provided.

Schedule:

  • Noon-1 p.m.: Food, music & fellowship.
  • 1-1:30 p.m.: Comments by local leaders/officials.
  • 1:30 p.m.: Optional group prayer walks around the neighborhood.
  • 2-3 p.m.: Games & activities for kids/fellowship.

Please walk to park to allow close-by parking for those unable to walk a distance.

Why: In the wake of a couple tragic events in our city, we believe it’s important to come together and show unified city-wide support for the victims and those affected by recent events. This is an opportunity to show solidarity as a city and also to celebrate life together.

How: Following church services on May 19, congregations and community members are encouraged to walk to Ross Street Community Park (if possible). Food and drinks will be provided.

Schedule:

  • Noon-1 p.m.: Food, music & fellowship.
  • 1-1:30 p.m.: Comments by local leaders/officials.

You could use this as a way of understanding the spices of a culture. Northern countries use fewer spices because food takes longer to spoil in the cold climate. Southern countries use spices to keep food in the hot climate. Try it!

Pablo I. Villa ’13 has accepted the position of Phonathon, Student, and Young Alumni Program Coordinator with the Ohio Wesleyan Fund.  He has worked in the phonathon for the past four years and served as a supervisor in the program for the last three years.  He has many creative ideas on how we can strengthen the phonathon program and looks forward to bringing some new ideas to our work with young alumni as well.  Pablo has a breadth of experience in leadership roles with the University including his fraternity, Delta Tau Delta, the Mock Convention, and worked for the Campaign for Ohio.

Pablo I. Villa ’13 has accepted the position of Phonathon, Student, and Young Alumni Program Coordinator with the Ohio Wesleyan Fund.  He has worked in the phonathon for the past four years and served as a supervisor in the program for the last three years.  He has many creative ideas on how we can strengthen the phonathon program and looks forward to bringing some new ideas to our work with young alumni as well.  Pablo has a breadth of experience in leadership roles with the University including his fraternity, Delta Tau Delta, the Mock Convention, and worked for the Campaign for Ohio.

Seven awards will be given at this year’s ceremony, which will be held from 6-8 p.m. May 8 at Ohio Wesleyan University’s Richard M. Ross Art Museum, 60 S. Sandusky St., Delaware. Tickets are $25 per person for the celebration, which will include heavy hors d’oeuvres, beer and wine. Tickets are available now online at www.mainstreetdelaware.com or by calling Executive Director Frances Jo Hamilton at 740-362-6050 or Cole Hatcher at x. 6908.
